Corporate Social Responsibility for Hoteliers by Paul Steele.
More consumers than ever are demanding that companies change the way they do business, become more transparent, and take an active role in addressing social, cultural, and environmental issues.
If you’re working in the hotel or broader travel & tourism industry, you have certainly seen your company implement some kind of corporate social responsibility program. If you are a front line or middle manager (or aspiring to be) and you want to learn more about Corporate Social Responsibility – What is it exactly? How can I leverage that knowledge to benefit your career, your company, your community – then this is the course for you! You will also benefit from this course if you are an independent hotelier looking for best practices to apply to your business.
You will learn the origins and basics of Corporate Social Responsibility and why it makes strong business sense to operate sustainably as an organisation. You will gain valuable insights into the three pillars of CSR – economic, social and environmental and how the three are completely interlinked. You will learn how to cut through the complexity and understand in simple terms how companies can contribute to making the world more sustainable, with examples and success stories
to inspire you to do the same in your organization, no matter its size. At the very least, you will gain confidence to have informed conversations with your peers, superiors and guest about CSR.
Most importantly, you will learn skills and the easy steps you can take in your work to help improve your organisation’s performance and hopefully take back home to use in your daily lives. “CSR is the name of the game” – are you ready to play?
