The service industry is known for its diverse workforce which brings unique challenges, and opportunities. Explore values such as Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. Learn how to activate them in your organisation to enhance your employee experience. We will start by looking at a study that suggests that “Culture beats Salary”, we will explore what culture is, what elements such as purpose and values are key elements of culture, we will look at various angles of alignment, for instance personal values and company values, we will review aspects of a positive work culture such as employee experience, engagement, diversity and inclusion and positive workplace environment. We will speak about very specific processes on how values are be present throughout the entire employee journey from recruitment, to training, to rewards, and we will speak about leadership in value based cultures.
By the end of the course you will understand all elements that can impact a company or teams’ culture, why a positive workplace culture is important and how a leader can foster culture. Did you know that a recent survey showed that over half of the respondents said that culture is more important than salary? So, if you want to be a leader that fosters value-based cultures as an enabler of performance, wellbeing, and success, then stay tuned.
In this course, our Subject Matter Expert will go over insights into culture in general, company culture, and how other elements such as purpose, vision, and values are part of how the culture comes to life in an organization, company or team. She then examines Culture Alignment in more detail – how personal values can relate to company values, where alignment plays a role between the consumer and the employer brand, and how alignment influences employee retention.
We also cover different areas that influence and make up a good workplace culture, including employee engagement, employee experience, diversity & inclusion, wellbeing and thoughts on creating a positive workplace environment. Specific processes where values are lived and how culture is being brought to life. Our students will learn how to communicate values, how to use them in recruitment & selection, where they can be integrated in learning & development, in rewards and recognition and lastly in performance management. Finally, the last topic of the course is dedicated to Leadership in a value-based culture, the role of a leader, leadership behaviors, interpersonal skills of a leader, how leaders can foster a positive culture as the base of high performance

Having worked in HR in hospitality for nearly 30 years, she is driven by her purpose to facilitate and foster human connections. To support people`s personal ambition to grow, feel valued and be fulfilled with their work. And to assist an organization with a talent strategy to support the business. She is the founder of konnexionen, HR Consulting, specialized in the area of organizational culture and strategy, as well as people development and talent. In specific in the field of talent management, leadership development, L&D and training content, employee engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and emotional intelligence development programs. Katrin also works as an Executive Coach, is a certified Genos International Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and holds a certification as Coach by QRC. She is the initiator of “she interviews”, a project supporting Women & Leadership.
